Let's work with infographics!

Hi folks! Welcome to a new entry of my learning journal. Today I am going to draw your attention to infographics. An infographic is a visual representation of information or data. They are used mainly to present a content or as a backup for an explanation. Due to its powerful uses, infographics are great tools to apply in Primary Education.  In this case I have used a free webpage to create my own infographic to use in class. This site is canva . It offers a wide spectrum of templates to use and create your own ones. It is free, which means is affordable for everybody, and it is very easy to follow as you have a brief and visual explanation of its functions.  For me it has been a positive experience working with canva and I feel comfortable designing my own templates. I think canva is one of the most recommended tools I would like to share with you as it's been a pleasure to work with it. Simple, visual and organised.  Specifically, I have used canva to create an

Designing a mindmap for a project in class

Hi folks! Welcome to a new post of this educational learning journal. Today I would like to talk about mindmaps for educational purposes. Today, I am going to show you a very useful tool to motivate and engage students in learning new concepts. This innovative tool is genially I found out this website quite interesting for teachers. First of all, because it is free! Moreover, it offers many visual items to use in Primary Education. It is not the simple Power point that you create to give meaning to your explanations. Genially has been designed to be manipulative and interconnected, which means you create a slideshow with different alternatives and windows that open a new world field. Although it has been my first time using this app, I will apply it to my classroom as a general basis. I have to say that the first time it is a bit time- consuming as you might not know how it goes. But when you get used to it, you will think that it is "easy peasy, lemon squeezy!" I really recommend usi
